I attended the Special Education Law Conference held in 2017. The conference is organized by TAESE, Technical Assistance for Excellence in Special Education. The Conference focused on issues in special Education and law. Many of the presenters were lawyers who represent school districts and were very familiar with recent rulings. I learned about my responsibilities as a Special Educator in writing IEPs and making sure they are implemented. The conference also helped me learn the responsibilities of general education teachers as our school works towards inclusion.
Is responsible for compliance with all requirements of State Board of Education Rule R277- 530 at all levels of teacher development.
The State Board of Education Rule R277-530 refers to the importance of teachers behaving professionally. During my student teaching, I have been observed several times by my supervisor and my mentor. I have included my supervisor's assessments of my work and my progress throughout my student teaching. This observation relates to each of the standards, as well as general comments related to my teaching.
